The private hypnobirthing course was such a lovely and positive experience for me and my husband. Paula made us feel comfortable and at ease. Following the course I was inspired to plan a home birth and Paula gave me the confidence to do this. Can't recommend highly enough.
We loved doing the course with Paula. We're now both very well informed about birth and birth options. I’m much better prepared to cope with labour and I can rely on my husband to know the answers to any questions midwives might have when I’m in labour. I feel ready for birth, now only to wait for baby to be ready.

Paula was brilliant. She was incredibly flexible allowing us to schedule sessions when it suited us. The course was tailored to us, mixing the core content with videos, exercises and open discussion. We would highly recommend Paula and hypnobirthing more generally. It’s a fantastic approach to childbirth and has completely transformed my thinking about labour.
HYPNOBIRTHING ANTENATAL CLASSES IN SOUTH WEST LONDON
Hypnobirthing is becoming a key part of birth preparation, with more and more couples choosing to attend hypnobirthing courses. The birth of your baby matters; it's a fleeting but defining moment in your life and the experience will stay with you a lifetime. Creating an empowered experience is key; for you, your baby and your partner. Katherine Graves (KG) Hypnobirthing is a system designed to help expectant mothers let go of their fears and build confidence in the natural process of birth. It achieves this through practicing relaxation techniques and asking questions about your care and options when giving birth. Regardless of your preferred birth option, hypnobirthing will help both before and during giving birth.
My fresh antenatal birth course is evidence based and enables you to control the things that are controllable when birth arrives. The course is built around the long established and highly regarded KGH method. It will support you and your birth partner to look forward to and embrace the birth of your baby as a positive experience.

My KG Hypnobirthing courses are run in group sessions, individual sessions, and online via Zoom or Google Meets. Locations in south-west London include: Tooting, Balham, Clapham, Streatham, Furzedown, Wandsworth, Wimbledon, and Brixton - or in the comfort of your own home anywhere in central London.
What do our KG Hypnobirthing courses include?
physiology of the woman's body: learn how your body is designed to give birth.
relaxations, visualisations and positive affirmations: rewire your mind with positivity.
breathing exercises: work with your body and your baby by controlling your breathing.
words matter: we associate words strongly to concepts so choosing to use the right words is important.
the role of your birth partner is key: they will learn what they need to be effective on the big day.
support to write your birth plan: what to consider and the choices you need to make.
10 hours of individual classes in person or via Zoom that can fit flexibly into your schedule.
These are perfect for busy parents that want a more personalised approach or based outside London. These classes can be in English, Spanish or Catalan.
A 10-hour course over four weekday evenings or an intensive weekend with the advantage of meeting other local couples.

BENEFITS OF HYPNOBIRTHING
You become a parent long before the day you give birth to, and meet, your baby. There is huge value in investing time to prepare mentally and physically for that special day to make sure your birth goes as well as possible.
Your baby, you and your partner deserve a good birth experience. Make a great start to parenthood by being informed about the choices you might need to make and prepared for what is to come.
Skeptical about the 'hypno' part of the word? Whilst hypnobirthing is rooted in the discipline of hypnotherapy, the reality is completely different from stage hypnosis that might first spring to mind. The KGH method uses the power of suggestion to replace fear for positive thoughts, giving you the confidence to birth your baby.
Your birth partner is encouraged to attend so that he/she is best placed to support you during birth.
